Arc System Works will host the finals of the “ARC WORLD TOUR 2022” to be held on March 11, 2023 (PST). The finalists who will participate in the finals are introduced in the form of interviews.
This time we introduce M&I/TempestNYC, a player in the Guilty Gear -Strive- !
アークシステムワークスは、2023年3月12日（日本時間）に「ARC WORLD TOUR 2022」の決勝大会を開催します。決勝大会に参加するファイナリストをインタビュー形式でご紹介いたします。
今回はGUILTY GEAR -STRIVE-部門のM&I/TempestNYC選手を紹介！
Q1.Briefly introduce yourself.
Yoo-hoo! I am a large fan of gaming/esports in general, and I am very excited to participate in the world tour finals this year!
Q2.Tell us about your background with fighting games.
I have been playing fighting games consistently since 2013, playing games such as Persona 4 Arena and Blazblue Chronophantasma. Starting to play more seriously in 2017, I have primarily played anime/arcsys games competitively since then (BBCF, DBFZ, BBTAG, GBVS, and now GGST), so I feel very experienced with them after all of this time.
Q3.Looking back, what are your thoughts on the ARC WORLD TOUR 2022 qualifier tournaments?
They were all very hard tournaments. I participated in 3: EVO, CEOtaku, and Frosty Faustings. I got 7th at EVO and CEOtaku, so going into Frosty I wanted to make sure I did not repeat the same mistakes I made at both of the previous tournaments since I wanted to win. I thankfully grew much stronger and learned from my mistakes, and finally was able to win Frosty after getting 9th in the same tournament in 2022.
Q4.Which player in the finals are you keeping an eye on the most, and why?
TY, I am very curious to see how other regions will do against him since (as far as I know) North American and EMEA top players have never played against him before.
Q5.Which character in the finals are you keeping an eye on the most, and why?
Nagoriyuki, because Nago is Leo’s hardest match up in my opinion.
Q6.What would you consider your specialty and appeal as a player?
My fast paced gameplay, offensive structure, reads, and overall strategy I think are my greatest strengths as a player.
Q7.Please share your motivation for the finals tournament and a word for the fans.
I am going to try my very hardest to win this tournament! I think I have a good shot at going all the way and I am thankful for all the support everyone has given me!

Q1.簡単に自己紹介をお願いします。
やっほー！私はゲームやEsportsがすごく好きで、今年のワールドツアーファイナルに参加できることをとても嬉しく思ってます！
Q2.格闘ゲームのプレイ歴を教えてください。
2013年からペルソナ4アリーナ、BLAZBLUE CHRONOPHANTASMAなどの格闘ゲームを遊んでます。 2017年からもっと本格的にやりこむようになり、それから主にアニメ系の格ゲー・アークの格ゲーを遊んでます（BBCF、DBFZ、BBTAG、GBVS、今はGGST）ので、かなり経験を積んできたと思います。
Q3.ARC WORLD TOUR 2022の予選大会を振り返って感想を聞かせて下さい。
予選大会は全部本当にレベルが高い大会でした。私はEVO、CEOtaku、Frosty Faustingsの3つの大会に参加しました。EVOとCEOtakuでは7位の結果となったので、Frostyでは絶対に勝ちたくて前回の大会と同じミスを繰り返さないことを心掛けました。ありがたいことに、前の失敗から学んだことが多く強くなれたので、2022年のFrostyでは9位でしたが、今年はFrostyで優勝することができました。
Q4.FINALSで一番注目している選手と、その理由を教えて下さい。
TY選手です。（私の知っているかぎり）北米とEMEA地域のトッププレイヤーとTY選手が対戦したことないと思いますので、他の地域のプレイヤーとの試合がどうなるのかが気になります。
Q5.FINALSで一番注目しているキャラクターと、その理由を教えて下さい。
名残雪。個人的にレオは名残雪戦が一番難しいと思います。
Q6.ご自身のプレイヤーとしての強みや魅力をお聞かせ下さい
プレイヤーとしての強みは展開の早いプレイ、攻めの組み立て、読みの鋭さと試合全体の戦略性だと思います。
Q7.決勝大会に向けての意気込みとファンへのコメントをお聞かせ下さい
優勝できるように全力を尽くします！勝ち残れる可能性は結構あると思いますし、今まで支えてくれた皆様に感謝してます！
