The version 1.32 update includes the addition of a new character, Izumi, as well as balance adjustments to existing characters and game systems.
The outline and purpose of the game balance changes are summarized in the “Battle Related Adjustments” section.
Various updates have been made, including additional function to display the number of rollback frames during online battles, as well as improvements to the example assist function in Mission Mode.
We have also made minor quality-of-life improvements to the training mode.
We will continue to update the game to make it even more enjoyable to play.
Nintendo Switch version is scheduled to be updated 21/08/2025 at 01:00(UTC).
Added new playable character: Izumi
Izumi’s story has been added to the single-player arcade mode. Additionally, stories featuring Izumi have been added for Ogre and Kuon.
Added stages, BGM, customization items, and titles related to Izumi.
Two new stages have been added. In addition to “Deep Azure Aquarium,” which is Izumi’s battle stage, “Tower in the Dark Night – Under Construction” has been added.
Many new titles have been added to the customization.
Illustrations have been added to the gallery.
Names have been added to some actions in the command list that previously did not display the name of the action.
The game version is now displayed on the title screen. This version is 1.32.00.
Optimized the speed to which the game saves save and replay data.
Other minor bugs have been fixed.
The number of rollback frames is now displayed in the lower right corner of the screen during a match. The number reflects the current rollback frames in effect. If large values are frequently displayed and rollback is bothering you, increasing the input lag a little may help.
Quick messages such as “First to 3!” or “Until we get tired!” have been added to the simple messages to easily convey the win condition.
Tweaked the UI displayed when a player match is settled.
Added “Hide While Random” option to dummy play time display. When performing random playback with two or more dummy slots enabled, the playback time will no longer be displayed.
UI such as damage information and input history will continue to display even after closing the menu.
Reversal actions are no longer initialized when a character is changed while reversal action is set. This is useful when investigating reversal actions for the same command with multiple characters. Note that moves that cannot be used by the currently selected character are displayed in gray.
The likelihood to trigger random actions, such as random guard and random shield can now be configured. The probability can be adjusted by moving the cursor over the relevant item and pressing the confirm button.
The playback position of the example assist can now be switched between “From Beginning” and “From Midway”. Previously, when retrying, playback would start from the beginning of the sequence each time, but with this change, it will be possible to resume from the middle of the sequence.
“Display input history” and other settings are now saved in the save data.
During replay playback, the pause menu can now be opened even during KO sequence. This makes it easier to rewind a bit and start over using the Replay Assist after the KO sequence.
In this patch, we have focused on combo-starting moves that were difficult to use, and adjusted their damage and proration to make them more viable. Your combo-starter selection now has a bigger impact toward the outcome of the match, and the expected damage output from your punishes–such as against a whiffed DP–are now higher.
In terms of universal mechanics, adjustments were made mainly to how the GRD gauge increases and decreases. The natural increase in GRD during a combo is now affected by its recovery proration rate. This slows down the rate at which a player gains GRD advantage just by performing a long combo.
In addition, we have adjusted the GRD gauge decrease so that it does not occur when positions are switched. This has increased the importance of strategic GRD management using Concentration and Shield.
The acceleration effect of the Transfer State that occurs during Concentration has also been changed so that it is not applied when the opponent is in hit stun. This is in response to the fact that the acceleration effect was making it too difficult to cancel a combo into a Vorpal.
In addition, a number of other minor adjustments have been made with the aim of improving operability and making the interactions feel more convincing.
The natural increase in GRD while the opponent is being hit has been changed so that the amount of increase slows according to the recovery proration value during a combo.
The GRD gauge no longer decreases while walking backwards if the opponent is in hit stun.
Fixed a bug that caused a sudden increase in GRD when certain Infinite Worths were hit at the edge of the screen. As a result of this correction, the amount of GRD increase when hitting some Infinite Worths at the edge of the screen will also be slightly Decreased.
The acceleration of the Transfer State cycle while Concentration is active has been disabled while the opponent is being hit.
Fixed a bug in which entering ←+A+B+C during Cross-Cast Veil Off would trigger a backstep instead of Infinite Worth.
Fixed a bug where a move that has the effect of drawing the opponent to the attacker when it hit did not pull as strongly if the move was performed in a cross-up manner at the edge of the screen.
Fixed a problem in which the distance between characters after a normal throw break at the wall varied depending on the character. Since the normal throw is a universal mechanic, we decided to make the distance between characters after a normal throw break at the wall uniform across all characters. Note that this change does not apply to command throws, as these are uniquely designed for each character that has them.
Fixed a bug that could cause the camera to focus incorrectly when taking damage at the moment of activating an EX Special Move.
Fixed a bug that caused the GRD gauge to decrease and other demerits even when Guard Shield did not activate after inputting the Guard Shield command immediately before the guard recovery expires.
